IGA for HIA clients were initiated in March 2013. Unemployed clients able to work were supported by seeds of maize, cabbage, tomatoes, pepper for farming program. The farming training was conducted in June 2013 suppervised by Specialist from MoH.

Those clients with worsen conditions were given 4 hens and 1 roaster per family to bring some small income to their household (6 families). Rearing of chickens, goats and piglets can help to improve economic and even nutritional status of the family. All of beneficiaries of IGA are aware of the fact that it is necessary to help also other needy clients. So they signed an agreement with HIA to bring back the same amount of animals as given after certain period of time to continue the chain of IGA to other vulnerable families.
